To celebrate and champion the legacy of the Black Panther franchise, we ran an ambassador campaign to achieve mainstream cut-through for the digital Buy & Keep release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
We secured The Africa Centre as a venue to host a drinks reception and recorded conversation between BuzzFeed’s Seasoned Sessions Podcast and acclaimed UK comedian Judi Love.
Hosted by Ada Enechi (BuzzFeed’s Head of Culture) and Hanifah Rahman (BuzzFeed’s Senior Writer and Entertainment Editor); Judi discussed the social impact of the film - motherhood, female empowerment, inspiring women, community, and what the Black Panther legacy means for black communities around the world.
Elevating the digital release, the evening was uplifting and inspirational, and was attended by 30 guests including key influencers and members of the Disney Diversity Berg.
As a self-proclaimed Black Panther fan and well-known public media personality Judi Love was a fantastic ambassador for the project and supported the event prolifically on Instagram. In total the social posts from Seasoned Buzzfeed constituted 1m+ OTS, with attending influential guests contributing 176.1k OTS.
